Brian Foody – President & CEO, Iogen Corporation
With Iogen since 1982, Brian Foody has been responsible for leading Iogen’s strategic direction, its technology development and technology positioning. Under his leadership, Iogen has developed into a world leader in cellulosic ethanol, an industrial manufacturer of enzyme products for the pulp and paper, textile and animal feed industries. Brian holds Bachelors degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, all received in 1980.
Duncan Macleod – President & CEO, Iogen Energy
With Iogen since July 2010, Duncan Macleod has operational responsibility for Iogen Energy, and oversees the technology development program to advance commercialization of Iogen Energy’s cellulosic ethanol. He was previously Vice President of Shell Hydrogen, a Shell business created in 1999 to develop hydrogen as a future fuel for mobility and power. Duncan has a Shell career spanning three decades working in Venezuela, the Caribbean, Nigeria, Japan and the Netherlands and has held key positions in supply/trading, M&A, Upstream, Strategy, Government Relations. Duncan was also instrumental in setting-up Shell's biofuels technology ventures with Iogen in Canada and Choren in Germany. Mr. Macleod has been a member of the California Hydrogen Highway Network Advisory Panel and The California Fuel Cell Partnership Steering Team, the Boards of Icelandic New Energy, Cellana BV and the Conduit Ventures Advisory Board. He studied Economics & Geography at Birmingham University.
Patrick Foody – EVP, Projects and Commercial Development
With Iogen since 1985, Pat Foody has been responsible for developing Iogen’s enzyme business, establishing large scale enzyme manufacturing, building and managing commercial relationships worldwide, and leading the design and construction of the world’s first cellulosic ethanol demonstration plant. Most recently, Pat oversees the project development activities for Iogen Corporation, including feedstock supply chain management, site development, product marketing, process engineering, and project execution. Pat is also a senior technical advisor for capital projects associated with Iogen’s demonstration plant in Ottawa. He has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan.
Steve Chapman – Vice President, Finance
Steve was appointed Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller in 2011. Steve has overall responsibility for finance, including financial and regulatory reporting, financial planning, accounting policies and services, internal controls, payroll and information systems and related functions. Prior to joining Iogen in 2008, Steve was Vice President Finance of AmerisourceBergen Canada Corporation, the Canadian subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen a publicly held pharmaceutical distribution and service solutions company. Steve is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Chris Judge – Vice President, Human Resources
Chris joined Iogen in November 2008 and is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including talent management, organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. Chris has extensive industry experience, both inside and outside the function. He worked in Human Resources for Bookham Technology and Nortel Networks and in his previous role he led the Production and Engineering functions at Sandvik Materials Technology Canada. The diversity in Chris' career has led to wide ranging practical experience in executive coaching, organizational change, talent and performance management, as well as international HR management. Chris holds an Honors degree in Business from University of Lincoln, U.K.
Ron Paradis – Senior Vice President and General Manager, Iogen Bio-Products
Ron initially joined Iogen in 2005 as VP Ethanol & Co-product Marketing at Iogen Energy. Ron transferred to our Bio-Products division in February of 2009 as VP Business Development to identify and commercialize new market opportunities for our products and services. In August 2009 Ron was promoted to SVP & General Manager to lead the Bio-Products division. Ron has extensive experience managing the successful commercialization of value-based technologies as well as business management expertise with international exposure in the process equipment and chemical manufacturing sectors. Prior to Iogen Ron held managerial positions directing sales and marketing at Pall Canada, Kvaerner-Hymac, Chemprox (Air Liquide/Elf Atochem JV), and Quadra Chemicals. Ron holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University.
